Episode Title: My Dad's Hotter than Your Dad

I almost can't believe I have to reference Louie again... remember when I talked about that fake sitcom in one of the Louie episodes that makes fun of really horrible sitcoms?  The opening to Dads is a sincere example of Louie's fake sitcom.  This show just finds new ways to piss me off... I can't believe that after JUST comparing the Louie Season 2 Episode 7 scene to Dads Episode 5... I need to do it again IN THE NEXT EPISODE...

Recap that scene again... Louis C.K. is in a fake sitcom where the main character he's playing is a dick but women around him seem to find him charming.  Louie is so put off by this that he literally stops the production just to point out the horrible writing.  Seth Green in Dads... is what Louie is making fun of.  So, let's talk about this episode.  It opens up with an attractive young intern leaving the company because she was dumbed by Seth Green (and this is funny... somehow).  Seth comes in and both Brenda Song and Giovanni Ribisi rag on him for forcing an intern out.  Seth responds with "well I can sue her sweater for misrepresenting her boobs."

Look, I understand American culture has a thing for dicks who are funny.   (Pffft, that kinda came out wrong but the hell with it you know what I mean).  But, and I can't believe I have to point this out, it's possible to be a dick and not be funny about it.  Seth Green is that dick who isn't funny.  He's not charming.  He's not endearing.  He's not clever.  He's just a creepy dick.  And he gets a worse and worse after each episode.

Also, the "edgy racist" humor is gradually making less and less sense.  Seth asks Brenda "Do you talk about your dreams in the morning?"  Brenda responds with "Asians don't dream... it's a waste of time."

The fact that this isn't funny (and yes that is a FACT) is the least of this joke's problems.  It doesn't make sense.  Seriously, think about it logically.  How would time be wasted by dreaming?  You're fucking sleeping right?  If you don't dream while you sleep... you're still occupying the same amount of time as if you were dreaming while you are sleeping.  So why would she respond with that?  I don't know about the typical American sitcom audience, but I'd actually like my sitcoms to engage me mentally.  I'm not here watching TV just so I could waste 20 minutes while drooling mindlessly all over myself (not that... that's possible but you get what I mean.)

Stuff that's funny is stuff that's clever.  You can push the politically correct boundaries.  But if you don't actually do it in a way that's clever or says something new about political correctness... all you are doing is being a kid trying to be mature.  That's exactly this show right now.  13 year olds trying their hardest to be "edgy" and "mature".  Well... atleast you've made Louie just that much funnier to me... I suppose that's a plus right?...

The rest of the episode isn't worth talking about.  It's just a repeat of the same problems (again).
